Cherry Drip

Ah the tester batches! A necessary part of any breeding project. You get to gauge the public’s opinion on all your new pheno’s and find the real winners and losers.

I’m a big fan of Deep East and always will be. Those truly dialed batches of RS11 and Zoap are nothing less than exceptional. Anytime he breaks out a new batch of flavors I usually try and taste a few of them.

However, I have to be honest, this one wasn’t it. Just like with the 123 from earlier this year, it was pretty dry when I got it and seriously lacking volume on all fronts. Once she’s broken down, terps start to show themselves but nothing near the level that some of their other cultivars. With as dry as this flower was, I don’t want to fully knock it because if I had gotten this fresher, it would have smoked completely different.

The humidity of these flowers most definitely affected all the parts of the cannabis consumption experience i enjoy. From scent, to flavor, to burn, it just wasn’t there.

The one redeeming aspect of this cultivar is that the effects are rather potent. I was thoroughly stoned for an hour or two after a single J. But that isn’t enough for me to try it again especially with the pri¢e point.

I haven’t been able to try any of the new zoap crosses yet unfortunately but I have high hopes for them.

I know deep east puts his all into his craft and it reflects in his staple cultivars. However, that doesn’t always mean every single cultivar he pops out is going to be the one. Unfortunately this one wasn’t it for me.
